The ‘In Love Again, Instantly’ Campaign

Masan · 2015

THE GAP

Sweet, condensed-milk coffee is deeply ingrained in rural and small-town Vietnam.
Men love it.
Street kiosks thrive on it.
Wake-Up was a trusted coffee brand — but not associated with that indulgent sweetness.
A new condensed-milk variant was needed.
But the buyers weren’t the men.
They were the women at home.

THE INSIGHT

A husband’s mood shapes the household.
When he comes home relaxed and happy,
the atmosphere changes — and affection follows.
For many women,
a good mood isn’t indulgence.
It’s harmony.

THE MOVE

Speak to women — through what men feel.
If the product could lift his mood, it could lift the home.

THE IDEA

In Love Again, Instantly.
A launch that reframed condensed-milk coffee as more than a taste preference — it was a mood switch.
The joy of a sugar boost was dramatised through a playful visual cue — a blonde, spiky hairdo — becoming a humorous symbol of instant cheer and affection.
Films, on-ground activations, and in-store moments showed husbands transformed —
lighter, warmer, more loving.
Wake-Up didn’t just launch a variant.
It launched a feeling.

THE OUTCOME

The idea cut through everyday clutter.
• Made the new variant culturally intuitive
• Engaged women through emotional relevance
• Turned a functional launch into a conversation starter
Wake-Up didn’t sell sweetness.
It sold what sweetness brings.
